The client manufactures body fat scales at real volume, but the companion app had poor experience and low store ratings, directly hurting e-commerce conversion. They needed a lightweight Mini Program: no forced app download, scan and go.
A WeChat Mini Program (uni-app) with direct BLE connection: once paired, measurement data flows in automatically. The algorithm service runs on a ThinkPHP backend handling metric calculation, historical trends, and family member management. Protocol differences across hardware batches are absorbed by a protocol abstraction layer.
The Mini Program replaced the original app as the primary companion software. Activation went from "download-register-pair" to "scan-step on", device activation and retention improved markedly, and negative review rates on the e-commerce listing dropped.
